From internal concept to a deployed, multi-user SaaS platform — how we built the AI-powered tooling our Digital Sales team uses daily to crawl prospects, benchmark competitors across 10 dimensions, and generate actionable marketing plans from a single interface.
The Challenge
Our Digital Sales Consultants needed more than a CRM or an SEO audit tool — they needed a platform that could crawl a prospect's site, instantly benchmark it against industry leaders, direct competitors, and underperformers, and translate that data into a concrete marketing plan. No off-the-shelf tool addressed this full workflow.
Using disconnected tools meant consultants were spending hours on manual research that should take minutes. There was no consistent scoring methodology, no competitor context, and no AI layer to turn raw data into growth recommendations. We needed to own the toolchain.
Our Solution
We designed and built Halcyon — a full-stack AI marketing intelligence platform built on Python and FastAPI. The platform crawls target websites using Playwright, scores digital presence across 10 dimensions (technical SEO, content, mobile, speed, backlinks, schema, E-E-A-T, security, conversion, and marketing stack), and surfaces a curated competitor spectrum — industry leaders, direct peers, and underperformers — giving consultants instant market context.
The core differentiator is the AI marketing manager layer, powered by Claude. Rather than presenting a reporting dashboard, Halcyon builds growth plans, writes content briefs, allocates budgets, and tears down competitor strategies — turning raw crawl data into decisions. Consultants can move from prospect URL to a sent, personalised pitch in under five minutes.
The platform is multi-tenant with role-based access (Owner / Admin / Operator / Viewer), Bronze/Silver/Gold subscription tiers enforced at the API level, Stripe billing, Google OAuth, and a single-file vanilla JS SPA frontend — deliberately framework-free for maximum performance and portability.
